The Food Management and Trading Company has started selling nutritious rice in 5 districts of Karnali which are suffering from the problem of malnutrition.
So far, 1 thousand 920 quintals in Humla, 1 thousand 173.50 quintals in Mugu, 130 quintals in Jumla, 535 quintals in Dolpa, 150 quintals in Calikot, 3 thousand 988.5 quintals of nutritious rice have been sent for sale in Karnali of the company. Acting Chief Madhav Mishra said.
Rice is being produced from Rajapur Mill in Bardia by combining 8 nutrientsis So far 8 thousand 476.90 quintals of rice have been produced. He said that 73,000 quintals of rice will be produced by adding nutrients. Rice is being transported by plane in Humla.
